"Having been associated with the Fate Awards since they launched back in 2007, I was delighted to come on board as the main sponsor in 2010 with Diet Coke. The Fate Awards recognises all that is brilliant throughout the Northern Irish hospitality industry, and fits in perfectly with the stylish and funloving brand values of Diet Coke. The awards themselves have quickly grown to become one of the most highly regarded in the UK and Ireland, and I’m pleased to see such a wide and diverse range of nominees, not only from within the Belfast area, but across the whole of Northern Ireland. It’s also very encouraging to see such a fantastic list of venues in the newcomer category, especially in the light of the recent recession, proof indeed, that we’ve got a fantastic and continually growing industry. Now we have the very difficult task of selecting the eventual winners, which is going to be hard, having said that, the panel of judges have a great deal of experience, so I know together, we’ll make the right decision."
